Nanamica represents the sweet spot for me - Designed by Eichirro Homma (who I had on the pod back a while back), many of the products are Gore Tex or higher end technical fabrics. I have a Nanamica goretex that is now 8 years old that I recently got repaired from Rainy Pass.

Jacket/Shirts
I continue my pursuit of a jacket as a shirt and this Single Pocket Denim Jacket from Ciota is perfect. Ciota is such a killer denim brand (of course they’re from Japan).
Shorts
Yes, we’re approaching shorts season. I like to wear shorts with a light jacket or a nice work shirt on top. It’s basic, but it there’s a reason why everyone else does this, too. It works!
J.Crew - 5.5 Pier Short Cotton/Linen Blend - These are on sale right now and have a nice partial elastic waist band. I like my shorts to look pretty casual. You don’t want to be the homie wearing “new” shorts, right?! Last but not least, j.crew’s washes continue to be unmatched.
Summer Pants
There’s always that dude who’s a never shorts person. I guess you can be that person too if you want. If that’s you, at least wear a nice summer pant.
Todd Snyder - Relaxed Linen Leisure Pant - These are so good. A huge variety of sizes and lengths. I sized up on mine to make them extra baggy :) - 9.25” LEG OPENING, BABY!
Shoes
New Balance 574 (Todd Snyder Collab) - Why this shoe has gone under the radar is beyond me. But it’s one of the few pairs I’m ok with breaking my pre 1940 shoe rule.
